Focus On Your Mental And Emotional Side To Gain Self Improvement Starting Today.

October 30, 2010

Not everyone believes this but the emotional and mental aspects of a person, when combined, leads to better self improvement. Emotions love to dominate our actions and reactions, even though we do not want it to happen sometimes. The society often see emotions as a sign of weakness, so people are used to putting them aside and focusing on the rational aspects more and more. No matter how strict and logical you may be, you will always feel. One way or another, someone or something will get through you. Positive emotions are a lifelong goal for many of us concerned about emotional health and self improvement. What is more important; the amount of money you made during your life or the times you laughed out of sheer joy. People tend to put their positive emotions behind their negative feelings. This is one of the biggest problems that people come across during their lives. There is no clear way to ignore a negative experience and try to replace it with a positive one. Life just does not work that way. For example, when...

When Is The Best Time To Take Your Company Public?

September 2, 2010

CEO s often call and ask me what the revenues and net profit should be before going public, they seem to think that there is a magic number that qualifies a private company into becoming a public company. There is no set amount of revenues or net profit that is required to take your company public, then when is the absolute best time to go public. The short answer would be when you don t need to, or your company is not desperately looking for financing in order to survive. Instead you are looking for capital in order to finance growth and expansion, or you would like to use the public shares as currency to make acquisitions. But life isn t always perfect, so we will take a look at a few questions asked by CEO s that have called me looking to go public. What should revenues and net profit be before going public. A company could conceivably have 5 consecutive year of profitability and be a bad candidate for going public. I recently had a CEO called me from such a company, the revenues and net profit were identical for...

Choices For Snorers

July 1, 2010

If snoring has become an issue in your personal life between you and your spouse, you may want to consider some lifestyle changes that may help with your snoring. Simple changes may be all that are needed to address your snoring, but if your weight is a problem, that may be the best place to start. A man even 20 percent overweight will be prone to snore. For someone that is not overweight and snores, making healthy eating habit changes is likely to help. Eating smaller meals is one way to help. It is recommended not to eat meals that are high in fat and dairy late into the evening as they contribute to a blocked airway, which leads to snoring. Chocolate, fried foods and baked goods eaten near bedtime also contribute to throat blockage and the increased possibility of snoring. Drinking alcohol in the evening is known to relax the throat muscles and enlarge the fatty tissue in the throat, which constricts the airway and causes a high likelihood of snoring. There have been studies that link the consumption of vitamin C...

What To Look For When Choosing A Cosmetic Dental Practice

March 19, 2010

There is one thing that holds true no matter the country you live in; a fear of dentists, no matter their type, is deep within the majority of us, and there seems to be very little we can do about it. The mere thought of a masked individual sticking their hands in our mouths, with or without the high-pitched, spinning sound of a drill, is enough to make even the most courageous among us as squeamish as a baby. So the attempt to search for a cosmetic dentist, even with the striking outcome we know awaits us, can be more dreary than looking for any other type of doctor. Knowing what you should be looking for in a cosmetic dental practice will greatly assist in this pain-staking process. Aim to look for your most needed traits and attributes first in a prioritized order. For instance, if you are deathly afraid of the dentist chair, be sure that your cosmetic dentist offers relaxation options for you, other than full anesthesia. Many dental offices now offer DVD s for your viewing pleasure, CD s for you to listen to, as...

Framing And Hanging Oil Paintings

January 11, 2010

The frame gives a more finished look to the oil painting and helps define the boundaries of the artwork. The marriage of a frame with an oil painting may be harmonious or discordant, enhancing or distracting - a poorly chosen frame can ruin the appearance of the oil painting, while an appropriate one can make it shine. There are many different styles, colors and price ranges of frames with cheap ones made in moulded plastic and more expensive ones carved in wood. An oil painting may be seen in different frames either by the use of computer-generated montages on the internet, or by physically standing the oil painting in successive frames in a framer s shop. The final choice of the frame depends on the owner s personal taste, the proposed location of the oil painting, the harmony between oil painting and frame, and the relationship of the frame to the room where it will hang. With modern art, you may choose to hang your oil painting without a frame. Providing that the stretcher is solid and reasonably thick, then the...
